Beretta AL391 Xtrema 12-Gauge Semiautomatic Shotgun Offered here is a Beretta AL391 Xtrema 12-gauge semiautomatic shotgun with a full marsh-style camouflage finish. Designed for demanding waterfowl and turkey hunting, the Xtrema combines Beretta’s proven gas-operated action with a chamber capable of handling shotshells up to 3½ inches. The camouflage finish extends across the receiver, barrel, stock and forearm, helping the shotgun blend naturally into wetland and field environments. Textured rubber grip panels on the pistol grip and forearm provide a secure gripping surface, while the ventilated rib and front bead offer a familiar sighting plane for moving targets. This shotgun is accompanied by an included case, interchangeable choke tubes and its original paperwork, making it an especially desirable package for the hunter, Beretta enthusiast or collector seeking a well-equipped example of this respected model. Features Manufacturer Beretta Model AL391 Xtrema Gauge 12 gauge Action Gas-operated semiautomatic Chamber Up to 3½-inch shotshells Finish Full marsh-style camouflage Stock Camouflage synthetic stock with recoil pad and rubber grip insert Forearm Camouflage synthetic forearm with textured rubber gripping surface Sights Ventilated rib with front bead Chokes Interchangeable choke tubes included Included Case, choke tubes and original paperwork Manufacture Made in Italy Model Background Beretta introduced the Xtrema in 2002 as a heavy-duty addition to its successful 391-series semiautomatic shotgun family. Unlike a conventional three-inch shotgun simply modified for longer ammunition, the Xtrema was designed around the demands of powerful 3½-inch waterfowl and turkey loads. Its gas-operated action employs a rotating locking bolt and was designed to accommodate a broad range of hunting ammunition. Beretta also incorporated several recoil-management features, including a recoil pad, long forcing cones, an internal spring-mass system and a bolt-travel recoil absorber. Other notable features include an Optima-Bore barrel system, interchangeable Optima-Choke Plus tubes, a magazine cutoff and a removable trigger group. These features helped establish the Xtrema as a serious hunting shotgun and laid the groundwork for Beretta’s later Xtrema2 and A400 Xtreme models. Condition The shotgun presents attractively in the supplied photographs, with strong camouflage coverage and only the handling and use marks visible in the images. The presence of the case, choke tubes and original paperwork adds considerably to the completeness and appeal of the package. Inspection Notice: Prospective bidders should examine all photographs and satisfy themselves regarding cosmetic condition, bore condition, choke markings, chamber markings, included accessories and mechanical operation before bidding. All descriptions are believed accurate but are not guaranteed.
