Lot 302 Highlights Country: People’s Republic of China Series: Chinese Silver Panda Date: 2010 Denomination: 10 Yuan Silver Content: One troy ounce Purity: .999 fine silver Packaging: Clear protective capsule Certification: Ungraded Design The panda side features an adult giant panda and a cub positioned among bamboo, with the 10 Yuan denomination above and “1oz Ag .999” below. The contrasting frosted and mirrored surfaces emphasize the black-and-white appearance associated with the giant panda. The opposite side depicts the Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests within Beijing’s Temple of Heaven. The surrounding Chinese inscription identifies the People’s Republic of China, with the date 2010 displayed beneath the temple. Background China introduced its silver Panda series during the 1980s. Unlike many bullion programs that retain the same principal design from year to year, the Panda series is known for regularly changing its giant-panda imagery. This annual variation has helped the series develop a following among both precious-metal buyers and modern world-coin collectors. The 2010 issue belongs to the earlier one-troy-ounce format. Beginning with the 2016 series, China changed the standard Silver Panda specification to a metric weight of 30 grams. Condition The coin displays bright silver color with contrasting frosted and reflective fields. It is housed in a clear capsule. Minor marks or reflections visible in the photographs may be present on the coin, capsule or both. The coin has not been independently graded, and no numerical grade is represented or implied. Please review all photographs for the exact coin, surfaces, capsule and overall condition included in this lot. DOUBLE A AUCTION & REALTY
