The surrounding Chinese inscription identifies the People’s Republic of China, with the date 2016 displayed below. Background China’s Silver Panda series is known for changing its giant-panda design regularly, giving each annual issue an individual appearance. The series combines government-backed legal-tender status with precious-metal content and an annually changing wildlife theme. The 2016 issue marked an important change in the program. China replaced the one-troy-ounce standard used on earlier Silver Pandas with a metric specification of 30 grams. Subsequent standard Silver Panda issues have continued to use the 30-gram format. Condition The coin displays bright silver color with contrasting frosted and reflective surfaces. It is housed in a clear protective capsule. Minor marks or reflections visible in the photographs may be present on the coin, capsule or both. The coin has not been independently graded, and no numerical grade is represented or implied. Please review all photographs for the exact coin, surfaces, capsule and overall condition included in this lot. DOUBLE A AUCTION & REALTY
