1884-O Morgan Silver Dollar NGC Certified MS62 Offered is an 1884-O Morgan Silver Dollar certified and encapsulated by Numismatic Guaranty Company in Mint State 62. This coin was struck at the New Orleans Mint, identified by the “O” mintmark beneath the wreath on the reverse. The New Orleans Mint produced approximately 9,730,000 Morgan Dollars in 1884. Large quantities of this issue remained in government storage before being released during twentieth-century Treasury distributions, allowing collectors to obtain certified Mint State examples today. Condition NGC has assigned this coin a grade of MS62, indicating an uncirculated example without wear from normal circulation. The coin displays bright silver surfaces, remaining mint luster, clearly defined design elements, and light warm coloration near portions of the perimeter.
