Belgian FN Browning Auto-5 / Sweet 16 16-Gauge 26" Plain Barrel Up for auction is an original authentic FN Belgian Browning Auto-5 16-Gauge Shotgun Barrel[cite: 118, 122]. Made in Fabrique Nationale (FN) in Herstal, Belgium, for Browning Arms Company (Ogden, Utah)[cite: 122, 124], this vintage plain round barrel is built from FN Special Steel[cite: 123] and features Belgian proof marks on the breech[cite: 120, 124]. The barrel is marked “FULL 16 SPECIAL STEEL”[cite: 123] and carries original FN proof stamps including the Belgian Liege proof (“E / LG / *”)[cite: 124] and chamber dimension marking “16-65”, indicating the original 2 &frac916;" (65mm) European pre-war chamber length[cite: 124]. Fitted with a brass front sight bead on a raised pediment[cite: 121], this barrel is a great replacement, spare, or restoration component for vintage Belgian Auto-5 or Sweet Sixteen owners looking for an original pre-war pattern 16-gauge barrel[cite: 118, 122].
